Peru’s Ultimate Fashion Destination Opens At Jockey Plaza

29.01.25 by Mateo Vargas

The opening of the MALVA fashion department store at Jockey Plaza marks a significant shift in Peruvian retail, catering to the growing demand for luxury products. Featuring a curated selection of world-renowned brands like Missoni, Isabel Marant, Zimmermann, Golden Goose, Veja, Cult Gaia, and Zadig & Voltaire, the store is set to become a market leader. With an investment of over USD $5 million and more than 50 brands, MALVA plans to expand to a larger space and introduce nationwide e-commerce.

The department store, born in Colombia, has quickly become a hotspot for fashion lovers in Peru. After debuting with a pop-up in San Isidro, MALVA’s flagship store at Jockey Plaza now offers a diverse mix of local, Latin American, and international brands under one roof.

“Our pop-up in El Bosque exceeded expectations in terms of both visitor traffic and sales. We’re thrilled to open our first official store and continue growing in Peru,” said Jose Luis del Valle, country manager of Malva Peru.

The 150-square-meter store prioritizes elegance, reflected in both its products and the overall shopping experience. “We’ve invested between 1 and 1.5 million dollars to ensure every detail, from display cases to seating, reflects our commitment to quality,” del Valle explained.

MALVA aims to differentiate itself not only through its exceptional product selection but also its top-tier customer service. Services such as personal shopping, garment fitting, home deliveries, and soon-to-launch nationwide online shopping will elevate the shopping experience.

A Bold Investment in Peru’s Retail Future

MALVA’s Jockey Plaza store represents a major milestone with an investment of approximately USD $5 million, signaling the brand’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

“This store is just the beginning,” said del Valle. “Our goal is to expand to over 600 square meters to offer our full range of products.”

Bringing Iconic Brands to Peru

For the first time, MALVA introduces Golden Goose sneakers to Peru.

With plans to host 100 to 150 brands, MALVA offers luxury items alongside more affordable options. “Our price range will vary between S/2,000 to S/3,000, catering to a wide range of tastes,” del Valle said.

In addition to the Jockey Plaza store, MALVA plans to open Casa Malva in San Isidro between July and August 2025, featuring an exclusive selection of products and services.
